MM3 STUDIOS

I’m a musician who writes music. I don’t have any recording equipment nor the money to spend on that kind of stuff. Can anyone recommend software I can download or buy that will let me TAB out the music I write and let me add in digital instruments that will play back to me what I TAB out? I know it’s a cheap way to go but I don’t have a job and no money so I cant afford legit stuff.
Any recommendations would be awesome. Thanks!

you can use finale notepad its a free music notation program. if you want they have a program called finale 2010 but its about 600 dollars, so if you want id go with finale notepad. heres the website:

I bought these cd’s at wal-mart and when i got them home I read on the cd "for audio recording" can i still use them to download or save pictures on them?

Yes you can. These are the only kind of discs I use to save my pictures on. They are less expensive and work just as well as far as I can see.

I’m looking for an affordable and reliable music studio program. Right now I’m leaning for FL studio 9 ( fruity version) as opposed to Cake walk Sonar 7 (XL)

like the basic equipment to make good quality music?

example: midi keyboard, mic, software, ..etc.

You should have a basic understanding of midi set up, studio set up and drum machine programming. Engineering takes time. Ohhh you need a boat load of money too. You need to decide if you will produce via computer MAC or PC; whether you will use a hard disk recorder and mixer. This is true engineering at its best. Please search the web before investing. Great information is available. Go to your local Guitar Center and ask for assistance there…don’t buy anything because they will know you are a newbie and you won’t get the best deal. Just go for informational purposes only. Look at Sweetwater.com too. Research!!! Research!!! And more research!!! Find individuals that are into music and pick their brains….$100 can turn into $5000 overnight.

i want to setup a recordin studio at home. i’ve got a high end computer and i’ve actually been making beats with fruityloops; but i need to know exactly what i’d need to produce my music well.

i want to buy a device that can record voice continuously for about twelve hours, but i do not know what model i should buy.

i would use it in lectures, lessons, presentations, etc.

what i need three things.
1.good quality to price ratio
2.able to record up to twelve hours each day, with the battery being able to work for these hours.
some say that i should buy and mp3 player with recording function but some tell me i should buy something called digital voice recorder.
3.allows convenient transfer and conversion of files for further process in computers.

I’m doing some work on voice analysis, and I was told I could use Flash on a webpage to record audio from a client’s attached microphone, and stream it to a server for analysis(while it’s still recording).

1) Is that possible
2) If so, how do I do it?

It’s possible but it requires a complex tangle of expensive $5k to Macromedia Streaming Server , plus licensing for getting the codec which lets you convert from the flv audio format to mp3.

Your best best is to find a a web service that offers this for you and subscribe to them..

Java applets offer a klunky way to do this..

A more polished option is to write a standalone recorder and web uploader, not as integrated but a lot easier to do.

i play acoustic shows and i was wanting to do some EP work but i don’t want to go to a studio and pay loads of money so i was looking for a good studio software so i can do my EP work from my house but im just getting into the recording stuff. i already have everything i need to start recording accept the software. i need something good i really don’t care how much it is but it needs to be for pc

You need Cubase SX3 or Cubase Portable or Nuendo. It used by most producers out there, is easy to use and it supports a lot of voice effects.

does anyone know any sites or places where i can get some ideas/floorplans for a music studio me and my uncle want to build one in his basement so im looking for some good floorplan ideas
