What would I choose if I had 500€ or 1000€? You have to make your own choices though – depending on how much you want to use keybard(s) or guitar(s), what you want to record via microphones, etc.
Take this rather as an inspiration and take your time before you buy anything. I made a few not so good acquisitions, so don’t rush things when you’re unsure. Check out reviews by pros for quality considerations and forums for real user experiences.

The construction work started april 2010, and the plan is to have it done by november 2010. What’s missing in this video is a few sound absorbers, a few bass traps and some gear.

Getting everything set up; home recording studio
It’s coming along all right; it looks like it’s going to turn out pretty good. My little recording/remastering studio in my large closet. I’ve got that crazy Aiwa tape deck that shows how not everything made by Aiwa is cheap quality. Then I have the coolest looking Sony dual cassette deck and 1980s retro VHS VCR. Nikko amp, home made studio monitors and a high-end Technics tuner.
