Home recording on a budget

Thank you for visiting my video.
I was tired of having to use poor quality sound capture devices for capturing the authentic sound of my guitar.I therefore did some investigation on the net and came to the conclusion that this setup was the most affordable for my needs.This also allowed for capture of vocals if the opportunity arose.This is the equipment i used;

- Fender “62 reissue Stratocaster
electric guitar – unmodified.

- Peavey Valveking Royal 8 Class A
all tube amplifier.

- Samson Q7 Neodymium Dynamic microphone.

- Art Tube MP Microphone Preamplifier
“the original”.

- Griffin Imic USB Audio Interface.

- Various cables to connect them all!

It consist of my Apple MacBook, Behringer Studio Monitors B2030A, iControl for Garageband, Roland SPDS Electronic Drum Sampler Controller, M-Audio Axiom 25-Key Keyboard Controller, M-Audio Sustain Pedal, Audio Technica AT2020 Condenser Microphone, Audio Technica Studio Headphones, Presonuse Firewire Interface, and Iomega 500GB External Hard Drive/Hub.

Machine Head – Bulldozer Guitar Cover

Hey Guys / Girls. Today was not a very good recording day for me, because I find, the sound is not so good today, but nevermind. I tried my best

Equipment I used for the audio recording:

- Randall RG 50 TC
- LTD MH400-NT (EMG 81 was used for recording)
-LD Systems D1002 Mic.
- Cordial XLR – Cable
- Alesis IO|2 Audio Interface
- Cubase LE on an ASUS Z83VC

Equipment I used for Video Recording and putting Audio and Video together:

- Olympus FE-200 Digital Camera
- Windows Movie Maker

I hope you will enjoy the Video and I apologise for the mistakes and I apologise for the not very clean playing, I was a bit nervous at the recordings haha

Episode 5: Home Studio Introduction
How can home studio look like? How is it connected?

Realize, please, that different needs result in different studio. I’d change some things in my studio now, but some of my equipment was bought before I planned to have a studio like this. There is no room treatment, I’m quite tight on budget – and I also have to share the room with my family.

Do you need guitars? Two microphones? Maybe with electric-acoustic guitar you don’t need any condenser microphone. Do you record voices? Do you create rather electronic music? Do you really need mixing console? There are tons of questions you have to ask first.
