X Lessons 0004 – Recording Equipment & Software I use for making a video!

This is not really a lesson, Well kind of? I know many people out ther would like to know what kind of things they need to get started making music videos.

I didnt know at one time, and I had to find out the long hard way! Trial and error! Mostly error!

Sorry I couldnt list all the amplifiers cabinets and effects, so I just took pictures of them in the software you see in the video. Why pay $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 for one single amplifier head? When you can get them all for about $400.00 that is with model packs installed on the POD XT also! Im sure most of you have heard my video? If not. listen to my Def Leppard covers of Hysteria, Animal, and Love Bites. Those videos were done with all this software. Then go to my website on the mp3 page and hear the Hysteria recording for the video in stereo quality! Its just about like a professional recording.

Chopin – Polonaise No.6 As-Dur op.53 “Heroique” 12/07

This is Kristian Cvetkovic playing Chopin´s Heroic Polonaise (home amateur recording). Kristian was born on 2. November 1991 in Zug, Switzerland and plays the piano since he was 5 (http://www.cvetkovic.com ).

The performance is different from the one recorded in February 2007 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXp_Wklfzjc ). An effort has been made to introduce more dynamic nuances and to emphasize few “dancing” moments. Yet a Polonaise is not a Mazurka, so the principal concept is still “heroic”. Hence the playing with strength, fever and majesty (no virtuosity for the sake of it, although this is ALSO a virtuous piece). Several comments/advices from the YouTube audience have been taken into account, however due to the room echo and the simple mono recording equipment it was unfortunately not possible to show the ideal concept, i.e. as this brilliant piece should/could sound in a concert hall.
