If you only want to record vocals, then it will be pretty simple. Your going to need a computer, some recording software, one mic cable, a condenser mic and a decent mixer. Connect the mic to one of the inputs on your mixer connect the mixer to your interface then to your computer. If you had a more complex set up in mind send me an email. Good luck!

me and my buddies made a "studio" in our den…we just got an old pc, bought a copy of frooty loops, and wired the computer up to a mixing board. you can record anything onto it, lyrics, guitar, keys, drums, you can even make you own rhythm on the program. then mix them all. it was a little ghetto, but hey, we lived in the hood anyway.

we recorded a local rap crew’s mixtape (good times cuttin tracks and smokin blunts with those cats) and also mixed and edited a few local alternative band’s demos with our setup

you could also go to your library, i bet they have some home recording guides you can check out
