To make some software tutorials, there are screen recording tools like Camtasia, DemoCreator, and Captivate. All of them are great for software demo making in Window platform. Which one you need depends on what tutorial content you want to publish.

I haven’t tried a lot of screen recording software (mostly because I’m too cheap to pay for an expensive program I’m not sure if I’ll use enough), but I found a free download of AutoScreenRecorder that seems to work pretty good for me. Might be worth a try…

I use CamStudio.
It’s free, it allows you to put on screen quotes, it’s simple. I’ve searched for other, better ones. But they’re not free, and I don’t use it enough to pay for one. If you want to pay, I’ve heard Camstasia is good.
