Is there a such thing as computer audio recording software?
I am interested in recording a song. Is there any computer software that will allow me to do this on my pc?
Yes, but your computer either has to have a built-in microphone or you have to buy a microphone that can be plugged in to your computer. Please add "Additional details" to your question telling us what brand and make of computer you have and what operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac OS, etc.) it’s running, we can go from there.
Audacity. It’s cool!

You’ll need inputs into your computer tho. you can use the regular Mic input in your computer, but i have the Presonus Firebox Interface. basically, its a little box where you can connect your instruments to your computer. you can check Music123.com for audio interfaces, but its not like you really NEED them. You could get by just fine by using your computer’s mic input.
Remember: its not the machine, but the person behind the machine.
