I want to find a free music recording software what software should I get?

Windows has it’s own software preinstalled. Click start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder. If you want something more complex try Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/).

Audacity as Nause suggested is the way to go.
Your file needs to be in wav, mp3, Ogg Vorbis or aiff format to be accepted by the program.
To add your vocal to the beat you need to set the multi-track option.
File / Preferences / Audio I/O tab and click:
"play other tracks while recording new one".
After opening the beat each time you click the red record button a new track is created to record on.
