im sure everyone can figure how a mic cable goes into a mic pre-amp where it is actually labelled mic-in lol

this is for the really dumb people.
the manual of these equipment would even tell you how to do these connections!

to start it all, people that have home studios didn’t buy a preamp in the first place. Good preamps are expensive. They also call the video MICROPHONE CONNECTIONS but didn’t get into the types of cable….

And FYI, helpful this video may be, it is also misleading. Forget all the preamp, cable and all hype. All you need is a good SOURCE, a decent mic, a standard interface, and I guarantee you could pull off better sounds than some others will do in a decade. See where you priorities are, if the source you are recording is not good in the first place, having the best of equipment will simply do nothing to make things better. Priorities!

are you on about audio interface? if so then read the rest ov the post…

a control interface on its own can cost around £30 to £100+ depending on what you are after.
theres a behringer one thats about £30, good place to start.

but you will also need a pre-amp and you can get a decent one for about £70+ for beginners.

then what you will need to do is connect the pre-amp to the audio interface and that goes into the computer.

you can also get audio interfaces built into pre-amps..
