How to convert video cassette to CD/digital recording?

Author: I have a SONY handycam ( CCD-TRV27E ) which uses Hi8 video cassettes. How do i convert it to CD/digital recording. I can watch my wedding video only on the cam:-( I want to watch it my PC or TV. So how do i put the data on a CD? Pls Help.
You will need a device like the one I have http://www.adstech.com/products/API-557-EFS/intro/api557_intro.asp?pid=API-557-EFS or a video capture card, DVD writer, video editor and DVD authoring & burning software.

What you need is an analog/digital converter. Plug the usb end to the PC and the Video/audio [the yellow/white/red] cables to the Sony Handy cam and the converter. take a look at this site :

Alternatively there are shops that does conversion for a fee.
