How could you transform a digital recording of a female voice to a realistic male’s voice?

This is for a psychology project and was wondering if there were any techies that could tell me a program or method of transforming a female’s voice to a male’s voice. For the experiment, I would need the male version of the voice to not sound gay. Thanks

I have the Creative Audio Console that gets bundled in with Soundblaster Cards. It has both Female-to-Male and Male-to-Female voice effects. I dont consider the voices to be at all annoying in any way.

From a Mac perspective, both Logic and Garageband have vocal transformers which are very successful to an extent but for PC, I’m sure Audacity or Soundforge could perform this. It’s a case or EQ’ing and pitch adjustment.

easiest way to do this by changing th pitch of the voice , most audio players like winamp, jetaudio supports this feature. Also you can achieve the goal by a professional software "av voice changer" this software allows you to record and transform one voice into various other formats like the voice of an old man or an old women ar a child and so on.
