Hey Virgil! It’s great you’re doing these to help people get started. Just to let you know, I am running a 2.66 ghz coreduo (dual processor) with 2 gigs of ram and it smokes through my software with no problem. I use Sonar 7 Producer’s Edition for multitracking and Sony Vegas 8 for my vids.

I have 2 machines here that qualify at 3ghz, 2gb RAM, and roughly 1tb of HDD, plus DVD burners.
Question that may be answered elsewhere regards OS. I prefer working on this one, but it’s running 98SE. The other has XPPro. I’m wondering if software is still 98 compatible.
