Digital Recording: Part 1 Intro & Overcoming PC Fears

This is the first installment of my new series. This series is made to help people migrate into the digital recording world as well as protocols used in collaborations for YouTube.
The first show here covers what I will be presenting and why. It also covers how to overcome your fears of the PC and jumping into the digital recording arena. For some people, the leap into the digital recording areana seems to be a big one, but this video shows specifically shows you how to overcome those fears! I helped this one lady at Boer Meat Goats open up a studio and overcome her fears.
Well, I have been wanting to do this for a long time and finally did it. I know I am a bit long-winded, but it’s hard to get all this stuff out of sector 24933C on the 3rd lateral of my brain.

i use adobie audition 1.5 and the athere day got me the cheep rp150 man it works good and the xp service pack to gave wht it need and it work good with adobe all usb i like to record in didit becase anlog so load and not over or under

The digital recording series you have is absolutely great. You are one of the few people on youtube that actually understand this topic. The “home recording how to” is not very helpful to me. Whereas you helped quadruple my recording quality

Hi Carol Sue! Ahhhh yes, latency issues, Asio drivers or WDM? OLD PC perhaps??? There are tons of Message Board postings out on the net covering that issue. I rean into them back in my older processor days. Most people buying consumer-grade PC’s didn’t consider recording on the pc a few years ago, but most pc’s nowadays can handle multi-track recording and latency issues are becoming less-known.

I have done a lot of mp3 & wav format collaborations but not including the videos. My biggest problem is with computer latency & delays. I went from a tascam 4 track to Acid pro program – got a few gray hairs in my journey & now video programs–well hair coloring in the near future! har har! Great presentation Virgil! You da man!
