Can I download an audio recording from a digital recorder to a PC?
I have a digital voice recorder with a recording that I would like to put on my PC. Is this possible? And if so, is there software available to clean up the recording and amplify certain sounds on it??
There is no USB outlet on the recorder, only one for a microphone and one for headphones.
no you dont need any cord if its a sim card it want need one
u need to get a cord to go from head phone out to audio in on your sound card it will be analogue it’s a 1/8th inch din to 1/8in din (same as your head phone two rings on connector male to male…
but if you want digital out then you need to have a digital out on your recorder and digital in on your sound card (ps most do not have that by default)
then you’ll need the software to encode / decode information on the recorder

If there is no way to transfer the audio digitally, then grab a copy of audacity or reaper and a headphone jack to headphone jack cable. (About 5 bucks). Audacity and reaper are both sound recording programs that are free and very good. Plug your recorder into the cable you bought and the other cable into your microphone in on your computer. Start up your program (Using the supplied manual) and record your audio off of your recorder into your computer.
A quick bit of editing by cutting off the blanks at the beginnign and end of your recording, run one of the handy little noise reduction plugins included with the program, save and render the audio to a file and PRESTO!
Its’ a complex answer but it does work and fairly well, too.
