I want to make a recording on acid music studio 8.

I gave all that stuff up and bought a good midi/keyboard.

I want to set up my home studio to record my original music (mostly rock, jazz, classical music). So far I only have instruments:
Guitar
Bass
Keyboard
Electronic Drum Kit (I’m really a drummer, so no I don’t want an actual set)
Saxophone

So now what equipment do I need to get to set up the studio and actually record my music?

Please can you advise? I want to buy a laptop which is compatible with music software, yamaha etc, any ideas. I have a home studio and a yamaha keyboard and want to put my own stuff on the computer. Thanks.

The type of equipment and what you need depends on what you are actually recording, your budget, and what your primary focus of recording is going to be.

Start up costs would depend on your budget as well as the necessary equipment to generate revenue, however you plan on doing this.

Size of the building again depends again on details.

What is your niche in the market? Who are you targeting? How will you get clients? Who are you recording? Etc. This are all key questions that only you know the answer too.
