What is the best (free) music recording software i can get Online for my Guitar?

I have Windows XP

The best free software would have to be stolen. (j/k) The next best that I have personally used is Krystal, followed by Audacity and then Reaper.
Krystal is simple, Audactiy has a bunch of stuff you can do with it and has a huge fanbase, and Reaper has probably the most features and is well supported by its author.
Audacity is the only truly free program. Krystal is free for non-commercial use only, and Reaper is fair-priced, meaning that if you like and use it a lot you should buy it for the $50 asking price.

Is there any good music recording software out there that’s free?

My band is gonna start recording stuff eventually, so….yeah. Something that would be ideal for rock/metal/alternative please. Thanks ninjas.

Audacity is good…but not really. You are extremely limited in what you can do.

Ardour isn’t free, but you can try the full version for free for as long as you like. Reaper is a very good program that lets you try the full version for a month, after that it is $60 (which is a steal). I would be cautious with free DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), since frequently, you get what you pay for.

Also, I assume you will need some sort of interface. Many manufacturers include their DAW with their interface.

FL Studio is a great program to use. Here’s a free demo: http://www.brothersoft.com/fl-studio-66439.html

Check out what you can do with just a MIDI keyboard and FL Studio (which comes with drum samples and FPC): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xee5u_JTVzY

You can find tutorials on youtube as well.

If you decide to purchase one of the full editions, here’s an instant 10% discount you can use when you buy directly from the developers of FL at Image-Line:

I need to find a decent completley free music recording software (no demo), i already have downloaded audacity?

Audacity isnot that good, i want to find some type of software that is good, with clear sound, and good effects. I am just starting to record music.

Can someone please help me find a good, free music recording software – (not a demo). Please help!!
If someone has a good software, could you post the link also – to download? thank you

It’s not what you use but how you use it..
If you can’t get a good clear sound with Audacity you won’t get it with anything else.
If I can use it to record quick multi-track band demos you should get good results too.

What is a good (free) music recording software program for a computer?

I am currently using WavePad Sound Editor and it records at different times or something because when I mix my recordings they’re all out of timing and I know it isn’t my timing. I need a dependable recording program to record my songs with that’s also 100% free.

Audacity (assuming you’re using a PC) . You can download it for free here.

What is the best music making/recording software I can download/buy for cheap?

I’m looking to record some of my own music so what’s some good software I can use that doesn’t cost a ton of money?

Good question! One of the best music making programs that is not too expensive is FL Studio. It is a program that lets you produce, record, edit, and mix your own songs.

I recommend downloading the free demo here to try it out: http://flstudio.image-line.com/

If you decide to buy it, you can save 10% on the software with this promo link: https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=EDAJCI416

Hope this helps!
