Is there free downloadable Music recording software out there for basic track mixing?
I want to record a couple songs for personal use and I’m not really looking to spend any money. I’ve used ACID music creator before and it was great, however I don’t have access to it anymore. Something along those lines or whatever would be great. Thanks for the help.
Audacity..
Doesn’t have "fuzzy sound" if used correctly:

Is there a free PC based music recording software out there?
I only need something that records a few tracks and doesn’t require too much power etc. I tried FL Studio demo but it’s no good.
Audacity is free, but I prefer RecordForAll http://www.recordforall.com it was voted the best audio software for 2007
Give RecordForAll a try you can overlay tracks and add effects.
And really good and FREE music recording software ?
I want to record me playing the piano and stuff but i want a really good software that you can download and its free. Any good suggestions ?? And only if you actually had experience with one so you know if its really good ! thankss!
You can use Litecam to record yourself playing the piano by using your webcam.
If you download Litecam trial version, it is exactly the same as the registered version, but you can only use it for 30 days.
If you only want to record music, you can try Lite Recorder.
You can download it from http://www.innoheim.com/download.php
I like Litecam because I can record anything with my webcam, convert the recorded files into MP4 and play them on my iPhone 4 & iPad.
What are some of the best music recording software programs?
audacity sucks. it lags. adobe audition3 is about the best that I’ve heard of, but it costs anywhere from 150-350 and I’m looking for somethung in the price range of free. Help!
You can actually record sound input directly from the computer.
Right click the speaker icon on your toolbar and click ‘recording devices’.
You should see two icons, a picture of a microphone and a grayed out picture of a computer chip called ‘Stereo Mix’. This is actually the song directly coming from the sound card. Set it as default by right clicking, enabling, and ‘Set as Default’. Then use any microphone recording program, set it to record using ‘Stereo Mix’, and it will record directly what comes off the sound card.
This is free and easy as you can just use the ‘microphone’ tool that comes right with Windows.
What’s the BEST music recording software money can buy?
Right now for music, I use Sonar 8 Producer Edition of Cakewalk by Roland. It works, but I know there’s so much more, but what’s the next step? I want the best software out there, does anyone know what I’d be?
By their opinion, not by google.
Thanks
If you want better recordings, better software alone will not help. Better software give you more features and flexibility but it will not improve the sound.
If you want better recordings, you will need better mics, instruments and talent.
Sonar 8 can make great recordings provided all the other parts are top quality.
Is music recording software such sufficient enough to produce an entire record/album/song ?
do you need something else besides just software and a microphone? I have logic pro, fruity loops and pro tools and sufficient in how they work on the computer I get software programs well! I just dont play any instruments.
Sure, that’s enough software to record an entire album’s worth of material. Eventually you might need to actually play an instrument or two for variety’s sake or it’ll all start sounding alike.
Just my opinion.
What is good music recording software?
I want to be able to record singing and instruments separately and then be able to combine them into one song on my computer..does anyone know any good music recording software? thanks! =)
You may have a try Nidesoft Video Converter. It could convert video and audio files between all popular formats such as convert AVI to MP4, MP3 to WAV, WMV to MPEG, MOV to AAC, etc.
Search it in google:

What is a good music recording software?
Hello I am new to recording music and I really need a software. Does anybody have any suggestions?
if you’re just starting out and dont’ have any experience or specific needs, audacity is fairly complete and has multichannel/track recoding as well as studio grade quality (as long as your inputs are high quality, too many peopl ethink jsut because you’re doing digital that it will sound good)…..settings for sampling and frequency as well as all popular file types.
one thing to remeber that cds are mastered at 1440kbps (manuy people rip at 128 or so) and 96khz frequency and 24 bit sampling.
