How to convert quicktime audio recording into iTunes?

I have an audio recording in IMGP.WAV and I dragged it into iTunes and it sounds bad. It sounds good in quicktime, so what should i convert it to in order for it to play and how should I do so? ITS OF ME AND BOBBY MCFERRIN!!

I think you need a audio converter.
I have a imoviesoft audio converter, it can convert between all popular audio formats, including MP3, WAV, MID, MIDI, WMA, M4A, MP2, AAC, AC3,such as converting MP3 to WAV, AAC to AC3, WMA to MP3, etc.

How would i re-install my recording audio device after i have disabled it?

im on windows 7 and i have an internally built microphone. i disabled it a while ago not knowing that it would permanently stop me from recording again. now when i want to record it says "an audio recording device cannot be found" and when i open the sound settings, it used to show my microphone strength. Now in the recording tab, it says: "select a recording device below to modify its settings : No audio devices are installed"

1. Right click on the speaker icon and select Recording Devices.
2. You should get a context menu that has two options
==> Show Disabled Devices
==> Show Disconnected Devices
3. Click on Show Disabled Devices
4. Select the Recording Device(mic) and Enable it.
5. Click Apply and then Okay.

I record music, mostly using Ableton Live, Logic, and Garageband… I need a new recording interface, but I have a limited budget. Ideally, I want something with great audio quality, great analog to digital converters… but under $300!! Firewire would be nice, although USB is ok. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!
I don’t need many channels actually. Only one or two inputs would be fine. Not recording a band or anything, just my own compositions… Thanks!

You don’t say how may channels of simultaneous audio you are trying to capture. Line level? Guitar? Mic? with phantom? USB is used mostly for 2-4 channel audio and Firewire reserved for 8+ channels, especially higher def formats (192KHz, etc). Lexicon makes some nice ones, Tascam has 1 or 2, M-Audio has a few and can use the "M-Powered" version of Pro-Tools as well as working with Logic or Garage Band or Ableton.

Recording HQ audio from an external mic to a digital camera?

I use an Exilim EXS770 to record lessons for my website and to be totally honest, the microphone isn’t that great. I have an Audio Technica AT4040 microphone and a Mackie Onyx Satellite DAW that I use for recording music.

Is there any way I can use any of my tools together or pick up something additional to record audio from the professional alongside the video of the camera?

Since you are already recording the audio externally, when the video is in your computer video editor, mute that audio then import the externally recorded audio to the video editor and sync. Basically, you just replace the video’s audio with the externallly captured audio. I do that all the time…

Tip: While editing, leave the video’s audio up enough to hear – when the echo stops, you are sync’d. THEN mute the video’s audio.

What is the difference between 12 bit and 16 bit audio recording mode on my Sony MiniDV Camera? (of course there is a difference in quality, but what? Is it noticable? and what other things does it affect? (the total capacity of the tape…will it enable me to record more time if it was set to 12 bit instead of 16 bit? what other differences are there??

You should not be able to tell the difference between the two. However, 16-bit will provide a better version. Why? The key is a device called an ADC or Analog to Digital Converter. The ADC takes the analog waveform from the microphone input and coverts it to a series of bits.

An analogy would be significant numbers in math. If 12-bit recording has 4096 significant digits, then 16-bit recording has 65536 signifiant digits. However, you may only need 4000 significant digits, so using 12-bit recording would work just fine.

Can I record pictures onto a blank cd that says it is for audio recording?

I bought these cd’s at wal-mart and when i got them home I read on the cd "for audio recording" can i still use them to download or save pictures on them?

Yes you can. These are the only kind of discs I use to save my pictures on. They are less expensive and work just as well as far as I can see.

I’m doing some work on voice analysis, and I was told I could use Flash on a webpage to record audio from a client’s attached microphone, and stream it to a server for analysis(while it’s still recording).

1) Is that possible
2) If so, how do I do it?

It’s possible but it requires a complex tangle of expensive $5k to Macromedia Streaming Server , plus licensing for getting the codec which lets you convert from the flv audio format to mp3.

Your best best is to find a a web service that offers this for you and subscribe to them..

Java applets offer a klunky way to do this..

A more polished option is to write a standalone recorder and web uploader, not as integrated but a lot easier to do.

How much would cost a studio which purpose is to mastering/creating or recording audio/music? I mean how much would the hardware cost?
Mastering not mixing messed up.

Depends on what level you want to take your mastering.
You can do with pretty much any software DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Program and a pair of studio headphones/near-field monitors for less than $1000 or so, but you can go all the way up into the near millions for acoustically treated rooms and line leveled filtered electricity and high end tube based hand built audio equipment.
The best thing to do would be to honestly evaluate your budget (and maybe your credit if you’re very serious about it) and then contact Sweetwater about it.
They will be able to help you figure out what you can use for what you can afford and have a very large selection for you to choose from.
But if you are not able to afford all of this glitz and glam just yet, I would suggest you look into some of the mastering firms. Tunecore, for instance, is offering Mastering for about $65-$100 a song (Depending on the total number of tracks you want mastered) and they will let you preview the masters and will fix anything they do that you consider a mistake for no extra charge.

I am looking for an audio recording – online, cassette, CD or other – in chinese of the Dao De Jing (sometimes Tao Te Ching)

I’ve looked everywhere I could think of but have run out of ideas… Most are abridged or english audio, or interpretations… I only want the chinese texxt read out
