If you’re referring to my anecdotes about British Physicians (too bad YouTube doesn’t let you know the “respond to” comment), they were not an argument, but more of a humorous observation. I guess the only reason why I can laugh about it now is that I have a leg to stand on and my head still turns. The British doctors I met were in Canada, the US, and China, so obviously while it might say something about UK medical TRAINING, it says nothing about the British NHS. That’s a different argument.

Man this is such a load of crap. Its a typical right wing arguing style, to use an individual case study to prove a wider point to which it has no relation.

Britain has excellent health care for all, its cheaper than the American system, Doctors are paid well, and the system of hospital rankings means the improvements of the market operate within a state run system.

However I couldnt care less what you think – as Britain will never give up the NHS as we realise how great it is.

Thanks for clarifying! Scared me for a moment there that BC went all crazy – can you imagine a 17% VAT!? Glad it’s no higher than 12%, but still, that’s got to hurt every time you pull out your wallet!

I left my home and native land when GST was introduced in 1990 at 7%. Don’t know if you remember that, but it was a temporary tax committed to eliminating Canada’s national debt. That was 20 years ago. GST is still around, albeit 2 points lower now, but I think Canada is still running a debt…
