IM LOOKING TO BUILD A music studio IS THERE ANY AUDIO recording software THAT WORK WITH THE OPERATEING SYSTHEM SERVICE PACK 3 ON WINDOWS XP LIKE CUBASE, PROTOOLS, LOGIC ETC ?

I want to record an album, but I need some recording software. It needs to be fairly inexpensive as well as easy to use. I just need something basic.
Also, are there any suggestions for recording equipment? ie microphones, multitrack recorders.

Your best option is Cockos Reaper. It runs on many different operating systems, is very light on system resources (ie will run okay on an old computer), and is more flexible and powerful than Pro Tools, in my opinion.

Get yourself a two-input USB audio interface like an Alesis io2, a condensor mic like a Rode NT-1A, and a Shure SM57. Also, don’t forget headphones!

I love to sing and i think im pretty good, so i was thinking of maybe recording myself singing but i dont know how much it would cost?

There’s several different ways to do it, but an interface and software package is best and easiest, this way your not screwing around trying to get the free download stuff to work and configuring your computer to accept recording through the mic input, the interface plugs into a USB port and the software takes care of the rest, almost idiot proof. plus the sound quality and features will be much better, here’s a good one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I am David welcome to my blog . Multitrack recording software is the best way and has the ability to record multiple audio tracks to hard disk one track at a time. This gives the music producer incredible power when working with a band or artist. You will be able to record one track at a time and do multiple takes until each musician has done their best take. For example , if a singer is struggling to hit a certain note , you can re-record that specific section again and again until the singer gets it right. This can be very useful.

This is a simple test of my home recording using a Fender Stratocaster….it’s a guitar solo improvisation..I have recorded this song based on a chords progression of D min7 & G7. This song is not fake, but it’s an original version without post editing or mastering..and also no pre-recording…
