From the liner notes:
One of Mercury’s “first ever” recordings made in the Soviet Union by non Soviet technicians and musical staff, using equipment brought in especially for the sessions. This unique recording event was made possible through the extensive cooperative efforts of top authorities in Moscow as well as officials in the U. S. A.
The first exploratory correspondence to this venture began as early as 1958. In spite of the continuing display of interest by both Mercury and representatives of the Soviet recording industry, progress toward the actual realization of the project was slow until the end of 1961.
The go-ahead signal for a series of recordings to be made in the Soviet Union by Mercury was flashed from Moscow in the spring of 1962, and the huge task of sending four and a half tons of recording equipment with recording staff from New York to Moscow was put into motion.
The specialized nature of the equipment involved (all housed in Mercury’s special mobile recording van) made it necessary to obtain innumerable special permits for shipment both in and out of the Soviet Union. At least five different organizations of the Soviet government were involved in arranging the numerous artistic and technical aspects of the sessions.
At all times and in all circumstances, the Soviet organizations were unfailingly cooperative and helpful. Compromises came about easily; both sides were aware of the magnitude of the project and perceived the necessity for continual minor adjustments.
The recording sessions themselves were a source of great interest to the Soviet engineers and technicians, as was the technical installation brought in by the visiting Americans. They were frank in their admiration for the advanced technical procedures used by the Mercury personnel, and the Mercury people were equally gratified by excellence of the musicians and the acoustical qualities of the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. And everyone was impressed with the give-and-take conditions and friendliness which had made this international cultural exchange finally possible.

The world’s largest wetlands are on the borders of Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. Pantanal is unique for its biodiversity. During the 20th century, humanity drained or otherwise destroyed half the wetlands on the planet, decrying them as unhealthy and converting them into agricultural or building land. In Brazil, herders and sugar cane planters are gradually appropriating these vast wetlands. Throughout the world, the expansion of cities and farmland contradicts the aim of preserving fragile and important environments, such as forests, mangroves and wetlands.

I’m planning to make some videos through my computer and upload them to youtube. But I’m having trouble finding a good recording software any idea’s?

screen recording software like DemoCreator does it, I use it for years to create desktop tutorial videos for YouTube.

I really want to create fandubs and covers for youtube. Is there any freeware music studios that can do that? I don’t want any demos or free trial programs. I really want freeware ones! I do not want to use Audacity either since it’s not good quality.
I would also want something like Adobe Audition, but free
Isn’t Mixcraft a trial version and requires payment afterwards? Plus, I don’t want to do any illegal downloading., Thanks.

what i want to do is take a song, take out the vocals, and add my own. but i’m trying to pig squeal instead of sing. what software do i need to do this? how do i get my voice on the computer? thanks.

Acoustica Micxraft is good solution. As well as microphone, Samson C03 USB condenser microphone is pretty good. These you can connect directly to computer, without using preamplifier.

I have acid music studio, and I want to mix songs that I have, but one I attempt to open them, Acid claims that they are corrupt or that it simply cannot open them.

Any free solutions would be great, I think it may have something to do with m4a/quicktime formats

I’m looking for a free music studio software that I can download.It’s for a small production project that I’m working on. I’m also looking for a "save" feature. Something that is legal and safe to download.

I was tired of having to use poor quality sound capture devices for capturing the authentic sound of my guitar.I therefore did some investigation on the net and came to the conclusion that this setup was the most affordable for my needs.This also allowed for capture of vocals if the opportunity arose.This is the equipment i used;
