How do I copy a digital recording from a hand held recorder onto my computer?
There is no USB port, only ear and mic. Where do I copy it to? I have a mic input on my laptop. Then when I get it copied, I need to edit out all the background noise.
Windows comes with "Sound Recorder" to record from the mic input.
I use Goldwave for all my audio editing, it has presets for reducing noise without you becoming and "Audio Expert"
Does your computer volume effect audio recording?
When you use programs to record audio from streamed videos, does your volume effect the recording? For instance if I recorded it while my pc volume was low, would it be low? If my pc volume was set high, was the recording be louder?
It doesn’t matter. One is output and one is input.
When using my recording software there’s a click every half second thats disrupts the audio import any clue y?
So every time i use my recording studio software no matter if its session or sonar cakewalk 8, after i import my audio and play it there’s a click every half second which disrupts the quality of the track… Does anyone have any idea why? Is there a glitch in my computers soundcard or is the latency too slow? I have no clue why it does this so any help would be great.
If you’re importing digital files they might have been recorded at a different sampling frequency (44.1 vs. 48K). If you’re recording analog, it sounds like you have a clocking error. Make sure that whatever software you’re using is set to "internal sync". You’ll definitely get clicks and pops if the software/hardware is looking for an external clock.
