Well im a pop singer and I would like to now how much it would cost to record 9 songs in a music studio? If anyone can help me anyway in my singing career contact me at my e-mail derekfvleao@yahoo.com

Different studios charge different amounts. The most important part is how long it is going to take.

It could range from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars depending on where you go and how long it will take. If you want something high quality. I have a friend who is a pro, but is at the mercy of being in a smaller market and he would probably estimate about $200/song for an album quality track with a band who has their act together, but he has the luxury of having cheap overhead too so it will quite possibly be more.

I don’t have a PC (my flatmate’s got a laptop and that’s all), so what should I buy. Any good websites or brand names or whatever would be really appreciated.

I bought a USB mic for my laptop – this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-Cakewalk-Music-Creator-software/dp/B000RMDGWA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218639429&sr=8-1 because it comes with Cakewalk recording software. It works quite well, although in retrospect I wish I had bought this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samson-CO1U-USB-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B000AP1RE8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218639429&sr=8-4 because I think there would be less ‘white noise’ in the background. But the one I have is really good as a starting point and it is helpful that it comes with the software. Good luck!

I am looking to have a cheap , but efficient recording studio in my house . i don’t use instruments only my voice . I am a rapper .

For instance when a label signs a person and they sing for that label i know the label makes money.

So could i make money buy recording what they are singing for them??? Wouldn’t that be producing them???

Yes, but only if you produce it.

That kinda sounds dumb, but I mean if they do all of the recording themselves, master and mix the audio themselves and leave while you’re sitting on the couch, then you don’t get anything.

If you coach them, help them record and clean up their audio tracks to get them to fit with the song, then you are the producer.

During seismic tests, Observers work in a recording truck and use two-way radios to direct the work of crew members involved in the tests. In some cases, Observers activate the explosives used in tests or direct the work of shooters who activate explosives from a different location. In general, Seismic Observers:
• Ensure that all of the crew’s daily activities are planned and executed properly.
• Oversee the entire data collection effort to ensure highest possible data quality.
• Configure the Recording Instrumentation System for each project’s requirements.
• Perform daily and monthly instrument tests, and ensure all equipment meets tolerance specifications.
• Troubleshoot problems and repair recording equipment.
• Document recording operations.
• Have the line crew be as efficient as possible, overseeing the production of up to 70 workers including Line Crew Helpers, Trouble Shooters, Shooters and Coordinators.
• Properly coordinate helicopter usage.
• Ensure that safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate action taken for any serious incidents, to ensure safety of injured employee(s).
• A valid driver’s license is an asset and may be required by some companies in order to obtain employment. Potential candidates should also be aware that a driver’s abstract may be required.
• It should also be noted that some companies will require drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.
