I bought Acid music studio a while back and pretty much never use it, and I’m just wondering if it is legal to sell it on Craigslist or ebay. I read the terms and conditions, but I didn’t see anything about selling the actual program. It covers selling things you make with it, but not the program itself. Anyone know?

sure people do it all the time. just dont copy the program and put it onto a different cd over and over again to keep selling it. then it would b illegal.

Im trying to become a rapper but I don’t have a job yet and I don’t wanna pay for studio time. I’m only 15 and I live in Parkville,MD. When I get a job I plan to buy equipment so I can record a demo and try to get it played on the radio

recording equipment is pretty cheap these days, but not that cheap. You might want to check here for a few ideas:

Maybe befriend someone that has recording equpment already, and offer to help them out for free in exchange for some free recording and advice.

You can try getting a loan from a parent or friend, or you can get a job. Those are about the only options at this point for you.

Probably MAC for your criteria. I suggest that you go down to your local pro audio shop and ask their advice. They should be able to get you where you want to be.

somebody please find me some reliable free music recording software online so i can record my music, i want software that dosen’t come with viruses

In my opinion the best freeware audio capture/editor is Audacity. I have used it for music, voice clips, and sound effects for my websites and animation production. It is free and runs very fast on most machines without any viruses or spyware.

I have a digital voice recorder and a I want to transfer the the recording to a C.D. or tape.Question is how do i do it.The recorder is a Sony ICD B500

Hi I have a sony digital voice recorder and it came with a cd to download a program that allows it to transfer via usb to the computer and once you have it downloaded you would be able to transfer to cd

But every time i turned the computer on it drove me crazy as i had to get rid of it every time to just open my documents,so i discovered a new way, I DELETED IT .I have a digital camera with voice recording,so i just turn the camera on to voice record and sit the sony close and record whats playing on the sony to the camera, then i take the SD card out of the camera download it to the computer and BINGO i have it there to store, email, or transfer to CD Good luck

I’m having trouble finding a school with an audio technology/recording program in Indiana, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any. I know that Indiana University has one, but it’s extremely difficult to get into.

UCLA has an extremely good program. Come to Cali, the weather is better.

I’m recording a conference and making CD’s with tracks of all the sessions at the end to hand out to attendees. I want to record the conference on my computer from a soundboard (mixer). What is the easiest software to use for that?
Any free software I could download?

Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems

Im trying to record my demo cd out of my home and need to know from a to z, everything i will need in order to get me going. tHnx PPL =]

Well, You need:
1- A computer
2- A DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
3- An Interface (I/0 input/ output)
4- A Microphone
5- Cables
This is your minimum to make your Demo.

A DAW is the program you use to record and mix your songs. A few examples are, Sonar, Cubase, Logic…There’s a free one called Audacity, although it’s not a true DAW, and isn’t gonna give you as good results.

The interface is a box that allows you to connect your Mic’s and instruments so that you can route that audio to your computer.

For Recording use a Studio Condensor Mic, Maybe as inexpensive as $50.

If you want to make your own Demo’s then you’re gonna need to invest at least some $.

Assuming you already have a computer, then If you look for things used, or online, you can probably get all you need for $250 or so, or maybe less.

I have saved enough money to build my music studio and i was thinkin what if i build the studio in jeddah? and if anyone asks… a music studio is a place were there is a room where muscians can rent it and play/practice some tunes.
oh i forgot about the haram thing with muslims. they dont do much music becouse it get in the way of their praying. (i think, plis correct me if wrong) but what if i only open it to other people, will it still be ok(again, correct me if im wrong)?

Get official approval first from the ministry of information. But honestly I don’t think it’s a good idea. You & ur staff might get harassed and attacted by religious fanatics.
