Where can I find music recording software that lets me record from multiple sources?
Like from the microphone, line in, CD, and auxiliary jacks.
at Best Buy or Staples
What are 3 good digital recording devices that will work on a mac?
I am looking to record some of my guitar lessons on a small device that records sound digitally that doesn’t use a tape. I want to eventually download what I have recorded onto my mac. I am not sure which devices work on a mac. I am looking for something good, but relatively cheap. Does any one have any suggestions?
Thanks!
I only have a ipod shuffle and am not investing in an ipod in the near future yet.
try this device it is a MP3 player first but accepts a line in so you could hook it into a system for playback later.

I accidentally cancelled saving one of my audio recording in my philips gogear mp3player.how can i recover it?
help me. thanks in advance..is there any software i can use? i tried some recovery software but it didnot work.
Sorry, But if you didn’t save the recording in 1st place then you can’t recover it. As simple as that. Recovery Software can recovery only those files which have been deleted. They can’t help if the file isn’t present at all.
If the recording was from FM, then you can again record it.

How can I take a popular song and use recording equipment or software to change one word to another?
We are doing walk up songs for my softball team, and we all agree that it would be cool if we could change "Bobby B" in Hit that Bobby to "Britney D" for her walk up. Is there anyway possible to do this but keep the back beat and the voice? I have a 32 track recorder that i’m not to good with using, and I have some recording software.
You can get wavepad from here: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/masters.html
Go to the effects, and select "reduce vocals". Sometimes it works good, sometimes it doesn’t. And it has to be wavepad masters edition. And you have to record the words yourself.

what is a good way to start/set-up a home recording studio for vocals/rapping?
what is a good way to start/set-up a home recording studio for vocals/rapping?
Greetings,
I see this question posted all the time.
First, it really depends on what you wish to do. If, for example, only you and your friends will ever hear the recording, then a cheap USB microphone and some free recording software is all that you need. You can make some great stuff that will impress your family and friends.
If, on the other hand, your goal is to go professional then I would suggest going to a real recording studio. See, recording is an art. It wasn’t until sometime after my 75 album that I felt I had things pretty much under control. It takes years of full time dedication and study to be able to make a proper recording, even for hip hop.
It is also cheaper to go to a recording studio. I don’t care what anyone on yahoo says, you can’t build anything worth using for less than 15k. That will barely get you something able to produce a product that people wont laugh about. If you plan on working with the public then just go ahead and bump up your budget to about 100k. That is about the minimum you’ll need to do a studio that can do hip hop and work with the public.
I would suggest that you clearly post your objectives and your budget and then we’ll be better equipped to answer your question.
Good luck

How much do you think it would cost if I was to build me a music studio at my house?
I want to build me a really professional studio at my house like where I could record music. How much do you think it would cost and do you know any websites that could help me?
Aside from the cost of the recording equipment, actually getting the right sound proofing can either be hugely expensive or phenomenally cheap.Sound does not have a preference when it comes to how much you have spent. There is plenty of room for ingenuity and it is not nessacary to spend gobs of money…which more than a handful of companies would be glad to take off of your hands.
Lets go with false walls. A false wall is one that covers an existing wall with a second layer of some material. The denser the better..sheet rock is easy and not expensive especially since it can be bought discounted from a home improvement store from the damaged goods. A torn corner on drywall makes it useless to the store to try and sell and they’ll let you have it for pennies on the dollar. It’s fine because you are going to cover it with another material anyway and the damage will not be visible.
You can cover the wall with things like acoustic tiles or soundboard garnered from construction contractors for free. When they end up with excess stuff they’ll give it to you.
Me and my band were working out how to install our false walls when we realized that we didn’t have to make them permanently fixed to the existing walls, we found that we could just hang them like movable panels by installing some furring strip(cheap) at the top of the existing walls, and then the same at the tops of our panels. Then just hang the panels in place. This gave a minimal amount of actual contact between the wall and panel…virtually stopping all transferred vibration….
I could go on and on…but you are probably getting the idea…be resourceful and use some creativeness.
note: whenever acoustic tiles are used, seal the edges with a good spray on adhesive to avoid the edges from wafting of dust and never use foam padding as it could easily catch on fire. Keep it tight and safe.
